It is an excellent medium density hardwood ideally suited to flooring applications where strength & durability are important considerations. Hickory is extremely stable with excellent hardness characteristics, approx. 9.5kN JANKA scale, similar to popular Australian timbers, Blackbutt & Jarrah.
